Armed with an unusual name, Fuwamai, we created a brand inspired by clean lines and quirky patterns. In stark contrast to the colourful delights created by the chef, the visual identity is simple and minimal — giving a nod to modern Japanese design aesthetic.

Fuwamai opened its first store in St Julian's Malta, with the promise of freshly-prepared food. The brains behind the cooked delights, Chef Matthew, describes the kitchen as his playground. His passion is sharing his inventions with his customers, treating them to new recipes weekly — always prepared with the locally sourced ingredients from quality suppliers.
