Femme Power

What is it like to be a woman?
That’s the question we asked the female employees at DAAA Group this year, as we celebrate their achievements, individuality and characters.

This year DNA organised a photoshoot for all female employees of DAAA Group, asking them to show up to the shoot in a style that best represents them or empowers them. Whether it was wearing their favourite dress, in their most comfortable jeans or even in their pyjamas, every person’s character shone through. As they all prepared for the shoot, they cheered each other on while waiting for their turn to be in front of the lens.

“Being a woman? It’s complicated… we are expected to be a lot of things – sisters, mothers, friends, good workers… We can be all of them, but most importantly is being whoever we want by showing strength, empowerment and assertiveness!”

Stefania, Partner and Interior Designer at DAAA Haus

“Being a woman is being passionate, courageous, strong, loyal, caring, tender, loving, gentle, hardworking, fierce, encouraging, inspiring, patient, understanding, generous, child-like, adventurous, resilient, and all giving.
We are daughters, mothers, sisters, friends and lovers. We mean the world to those who appreciate us and our strength may be the very reason many are intimidated by us.”

Cecilia, Marketing Strategy Manager at DNA

“Being a woman means having a choice to be myself unapologetically and resist the constraints of social expectations. To be assertive, creative and social. Being a woman is whatever we want it to be.”

Kimberley, Architect at DAAA Arki

“The best part about being over 40 is we did most of our stupid stuff before the internet. Women should never be judged about their past, age or marital status but on their achievements and accomplishments. Women need to pursue what they want by being proactive to achieve their dreams or goals.”

Shirley, Accountant at DAAA Group
